Apple has updated iTunes to version 11.0.1, fixing a number of bugs. The update is available in the Mac App Store or via Apple's support website.
This update to the new iTunes addresses an issue where new purchases in iCloud may not appear in your library if iTunes Match is turned on, makes iTunes more responsive when searching a large library, fixes a problem where the AirPlay button may not appear as expected, and adds the ability to display duplicate items within your library.
iTunes 11 was originally released on November 29, and these bug fixes had been promised in Walt Mossberg's review of iTunes 11 in early December.
iTunes 11 brought a number of enhancements to the media player including a redesigned store, simplified player, and new iCloud features. [ 173 comments ] Tweet Top Rated Comments(View all)

Nope, we're stuck with these issues. This was the last bug fix Apple will ever do for iTunes.

I'll stick to 10.7 thank you very much.
No reason to update just because Apple tells you to.
They sometimes totally break a feature.

chriscl2 days ago at 03:31 pmI'd really love Apple to introduce iTunes to the Mac Notification Centre in OS X 10.8.x
Using Notification Centre to pop-up "notifications" for upcoming tracks, and to allow a user to manage functionality of the iTunes player from there, seems so logical I'm struggling to understand why they didn't do it.
Yes, I know there is Mini Player, but it doesn't do much, other than sit there, on top of other windows. All I want is a simple notification, and interaction with iTunes' new "Up Next" functions.
(I know there are third-party apps that can do this sort of thing, but surely it should be part of iTunes!)

gnasher7292 days ago at 12:17 amEither press Enter after starting your search or turn off Search Entire Library.
That is a plain idiotic UI. To summarize: I type "Toto Africa" in the search box. iTunes shows "No Results / Search iTunes Store". Then seeing that there are no search results, hitting "Enter" shows the song or songs. That is stupid, stupid, stupid. If its a bug, it needs to be fixed. If its designed to do that, whoever designed it should be shot.

yadmonkey2 days ago at 03:21 pmI wish they'd fix the problem where iTunes Match won't match random songs on albums that it otherwise matches. Not good for my OCD.

Change for the sake of change is stupid and a waste of time.
Adding features would be change for the better.
Taking away features is totally stupid.
